University Withdrawal

A University Withdrawal must be done when a student needs to drop all courses and leave the University. If the first day of the semester has not yet begun, students may cancel their course schedule through RAMweb without any assessment of tuition or fees. Once classes have started, students who are planning to drop all courses and leave the University for any reason during the term must contact The Center for Advising and Student Achievement (CASA) prior to their departure to complete the withdrawal process. Unless this procedure is followed, students will receive failing grades in all courses. If students do not attend and do not cancel their courses before the semester begins, they are financially responsible for applicable assessed tuition and fees.

Adjustments of tuition & fees due to University Withdrawal will be made according to the   following schedule:

  Spring 2012*:

Through Wednesday, February 1, 2012, 4:45 pm             25% Assessment

Through Friday, February 24, 2012, 4:45 pm                   75% Assessment

Through Friday, May 4, 2012, 4:45 pm                          100% Assessment

Fall 2012*:

Through Wednesday, September 5, 2012, 4:45 pm         25% Assessment

Through Friday, September 28, 2012, 4:45 pm               75% Assessment            

Through Friday, December 7, 2012, 4:45 pm                100% Assessment

*The following schedule is for University withdrawal policies regarding tuition and fees, University housing charges, and return of funds to the financial aid programs resulting from a withdrawal. Information regarding the regulations for calculating earned aid and the order of programs to which the University returns funds is available at the time of withdrawal or upon request from Student Financial Services.
