Academic and administrative offices can place holds on a student’s account for many reasons (academic, financial, etc.). These holds prevent registration and changes to the student’s current registration, including adds, drops, and withdrawals.
Students can access their hold information on RAMweb. To do so:
- Log into RAMweb.
- Click on the Alert box in the top right corner.
- Click on the Hold Alert.
- The following page will list each hold on the student’s record, the action it stops (registration, obtaining an official transcript, etc.), and the phone number of the office the student needs to contact to resolve the hold.
Student's must clear each hold with the office involved before they can access registration. If a hold is placed on a student’s registration after they have registered, the student will not have access their registration to adjust their schedule or to register for subsequent terms until the hold is cleared . Holds do not extend other deadlines. If a student has a hold and needs to drop or withdraw from a course they will need to contact the Registrar's Office, Centennial Hall, (970)491-4860, or at recordsoffice@colostate.edu, to do so.
