Undergraduate candidates for graduation, after consultation with their advisor(s) must complete and sign a contract for each major, second major, and minor by the Friday of the second week of classes in their graduation term at the department office(s) of their majors/minors. Each contract is your Undergraduate Degree Plan or the Degree Audit Report (DARS) and will be used for final graduation certification. Students not completing degree requirements that term must sign another contract in the beginning of the term graduation requirements will be completed.

Contracts (the Degree Audit Report or DARS) are generated in the Registrar’s Office and sent to each major and minor department prior to the first week of each term. Students will need to contact their major and minor departments during the first week of the term in which they plan to graduate, to set up a time to sign their contracts. Please note that some colleges and departments have additional processes (i.e. attendance at a 'graduation orientation') for signing the contract. If your department has an additional process, they will notify you.

If you are signing a Contract for Completion of Major/Minor in any given semester, and you are planning on registering for a course(s) in a future term you may encounter unintended consequences once your degree is conferred.

If you do not file an intent to return or gain admittance to a new degree seeking program after your graduation term, your status with one of three offices on campus could be compromised.

If you have not been admitted to CSU in another degree seeking program after your graduation term, please review the items below and contact the appropriate office:

1. If you are planning to receive Financial Aid in an upcoming term contact Student Financial Services (SFS) because continuing your education after having graduated without reapplying to CSU could have financial aid eligibiilty implications. 2. If you are graduating in a different term than is listed on your record, contact the Registrar's Office. Call (970) 491-7159 or go to the Registrar's Office, Degree and Transfer in Centennial Hall.
3. If you are returning to CSU for an additional degree, contact the Admissions Office for your options if you plan to continue enrollment after graduation and are not already admitted to another degree program. Call (970) 491-6909 or go to Ammons Hall.
