Eligible CSU Academic Faculty, Administrative Professional, and State Classified staff may use the Employee Study Privilege benefit to take up to nine credit hours of courses per year (beginning with Summer 2011) without the assessment of the student portion of tuition or general fees. For more information on eligibility, visit the Human Resources website.

To claim this benefit for on-campus classes, employees must submit the Employee Study Privilege Form to the Office of the Registrar in Centennial Hall on or before the first day of the term. Employees seeking the benefit for on-campus classes should see the benefit applied to their accounts within three to four weeks after University Census. More information about the benefit is available on the first page of the form and the accompanying Frequently Asked Questions document.

Employees interested in using the study privilege benefit for courses available through CSU Online should visit the Faculty & Staff Study Privilege page to learn more. For online classes, the Employee Study Privilege form should be emailed directly to the CSU Online registration team.
